Written in 1891 and initially banned by censors, Salome is Oscar Wilde’s only tragedy. Seldom produced even to this day, this powerful play is filled with beautifully poetic language and startling imagery. King Herod wants his stepdaughter Salome to dance for him, and in return will give her anything she wants. She wants the head of John the Baptist on a silver platter. A performance scored entirely with live music, this will be an intensely exhilarating theatrical experience you will never forget. Allison Kessler is Salome.

* Due to the subject matter, this production is not recommended for audience members under 18 years of age.

This site-specific staging and gender fluid casting will re-imagine a classic play for a contemporary audience in ways you’ve never seen before. Earnest will be the first show in our history to run for two weekends. Directed by Ryan Walter.

“What do you do when you’re not sure?” So asks Father Flynn, the progressive and beloved priest at the St. Nicholas Church School in the Bronx, in his sermon. It’s 1964, and things are changing, to the chagrin of rigid principal Sister Aloysius. However, when an unconscionable accusation is leveled against the Father, Sister Aloysius realizes that the only way to get justice is to create it herself. And as for the truth of the matter? As Father Flynn says, "Doubt can be a bond as powerful and sustaining as certainty.”
